Bravo Snorkel type "cobra" for New Defender L663
Snorkel is homologated and has been certified to comply with European Road Traffic Regulations.
You will receive the manufacturer's certificate issued by the Reinvac Institute together with the product delivery.
Made from durable, certified ExxonMobil LLDPE LL 8446.21 polyethylene plastic, resistant to UV radiation.
Unlike the original snorkels supplied by LR and similar types with the same design, which are intended only for dust separation (they are not waterproof), the Bravo snorkel is connected to the car's filter box with a solid plastic pipe.
We recommend that the assembly joints be treated with a suitable sealing sealant (before assembly), e.g. Sikaflex 591, and then assembled and the joints tightened with suitable clamps.
After following this assembly procedure, the snorkel is waterproof and dustproof, which is a great advantage over the original design.
It should be remembered that despite the water resistance of the Bravo snorkel assembly, the maximum wading depth specified by the vehicle manufacturer must be observed.
Another advantage over the original LR snorkel design is that the Bravo snorkel mounting design is stronger and more sophisticated.
The Snorkel is fixed at multiple anchor points which guarantee its use without failure in demanding operating conditions of unpaved roads and does not fail even at higher speeds when driving on the highway as sometimes happens with the original design.
Designed for left-hand mounting.
