It is used to connect individual rescue plates and fix them to the ground.
You can use it if you need to bridge a longer section in soft or loose terrain (mud, sand, swamp) and the length of one board would be insufficient. It cannot be used to overcome a high terrain break, where it is possible to use only one plate in a pair under each wheel of the car in particular. The plates are not connected firmly but only flexibly.
